TERRE HAUTE -- On Saturday, the DePauw University volleyball team split its two matches, falling to Capital but defeating Kenyon.

The Tigers are 15-5 this season.

Capital beat the Tigers, 3-2, by scored of 28-30, 23-30, 30-15, 30-15, 15-7. Kim Hamer led the way with 23 kills while Liz Pollom had 11. Sherise Denny recorded 37 assists and Jenny Zeser had 32 digs. Denny also had 27 digs while Ali Pinkston tallied 26.

Hamer also had seven blocks while Pinkston had five. Sarah Drew also paced the Tigers with three service aces.

The Tigers knocked off Kenyon in their second game, 30-18, 30-22, 30-19. Pollom finished with eight kills and Christina Dickerson tallied seven. Denny and Drew had 17 kills each while Drew also had two aces. Zeser also had 15 digs and Adrienne Cobb had three blocks.

The Tigers are back in action on Friday in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Cross-Divisional at Trinity.
