CLAYTON -- The DePauw University women's golf squad shot a first-round 323 to pick up the lead at the DePauw Small College Classic on Sunday.

Play continues today at the Deer Creek Golf Course.

DePauw had a 26-stroke lead over second-place Otterbein.

Ali Murtaugh leads the tournament by two strokes with a 76.

Other DePauw scores in the first round include Sarah Gates with an 80, Lisa Chambers with an 82, Kristen Kriegshauser with an 83 and Lauren Brummett with an 87.

The Tigers also had four players participating as individuals.

Kathleen Belden has an 85 while Nicole Garza has a 91 and Jill Schneider has a 92. Former South Putnam High School standout Amanda Bollman also had a 91 through the first round, firing a 46 on the front-nine Sunday and a 45 on the back.

On Saturday, the Tigers won their third straight tournament at the Manchester Fall Invitational, finishing with a 312.

Manchester finished second at the tournament with a 350.

Brummett and Gates led the Tigers, each firing a 77 to win medal honors. Kriegshauser and Murtaugh each had a 79 while Chambers finished in a tie for sixth with an 83.
