MONTEZUMA -- The Greencastle girls' varsity basketball team easily defeated Riverton Parke Saturday, 49-19.

The Tiger Cubs were led by an impressive performance from Laura Weatherford. The Greencastle sophomore had 15 points, seven rebounds, four steals and five assists.

Senior Stefanie Masten added 17 points on eight field goals.

Greencastle took a 13-8 lead in the first quarter and a commanding 31-8 lead into halftime.

The Tiger Cubs forced 28 Riverton Parke turnovers in the contest.

Greencastle improves to 6-9 on the season, and play at South Putnam Friday at 6 p.m.
