DPU volleyball takes down Defiance

The DPU volleyball team improved to 17-12 on the season on a 3-1 match victory over Defiance at home Saturday.

The Tigers won the match 30-11, 27-30, 30-22, 30-21.

Kim Hamer led DePauw with 18 kills, and Loren Slone had 14.

Sherise Denny tallied three aces in the match, and Hannah Cheesman led the Tigers with 26 digs.

DePauw will compete in the final Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Cross-Divisional at Oglethorpe beginning Friday against Southwestern at 11 a.m..
