Helen M. Staley

Helen M. Staley, 93, Clay City, died Friday at Union Hospital, Terre Haute.

Born in Clay County, she was the daughter of Robert and Ethel (Miller) Orman. She married Earl V. Staley on Sept. 17, 1931. He died on Mar. 27, 1996.

She was a housewife and was a member of the Clay City Church of Christ.

Surviving are a daughter, Wilma Jean Hughes, Sun City, Fla.; a son, Don V. Staley and wife Jane, Clay City; brothers Earl Orman and wife Betty, Coal City, Ind., and Robert "Bob" Orman and wife Roslyn, Clay City; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death her parents, her husband, sisters Anna Orman, Ruth Schepper and Fern Fletcher, and brothers Harry and Martin Orman.

Funeral services will on Tuesday, Nov. 7 at 11 a.m. at the Clay City Church of Christ with Bro. Scott Wiley officiating.

Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Clay City.

Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 6 from 5-8 p.m. at the church.

Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, is handling the arrangements.
