Mae Elizabeth (Snapp) Malicoat Smith, 86, Speedway, died Wednesday.

Born in Tennessee, she was the daughter of David M. and Minnie A. (Walton) Snapp.

She had been a production worker for P.R. Mallory co. as well as manager for Bluebird Cafe and J&H Truckstop for several years.

She married Lawrence Smith, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are three daughters, Kaaren Pearson and husband Ben, Indianapolis, Cathy M. Harris and husband David, Michigan, and Norma Cook, Poland; three sons, Raymond Malicoat and wife Helen, Florida, John C. Malicoat and wife Rosemary, Speedway, and William Malicoat and wife Debbie, New Maysville; two sisters, Ruby Duncan and husband Art, Arizona, and Sandra, Tennessee; three brothers, Robert Snapp and wife Peggy, Indianapolis, Harold Snapp and wife Thelma, Arizona, and Lowell Snapp and wife Vera, Brazil; 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Maurice (Moose) Malicoat, daughter Patricia L. Batchelor and brother Kenny Snapp.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Hays Funeral Home, Coatesville, with burial in Coatesville Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
