Martha Ann McMains

Martha Ann Ogle McMains, 75, Greencastle, died Tuesday evening at Asbury Towers, Greencas-tle.

Born in Greencastle, she was the daughter of George William and Edythe (Jones) Ogle.

She married Myron D. McMains on Aug. 25, 1951. He preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 1979.

She graduated from Muncie Burris High School in 1948 and from Butler University in 1952. She received her master's from Indiana State University in 1965.

She was a teacher at Ridpath Elementary School, retiring in 1995 after teaching 41 years in the Greencastle Community School system. She was a member of the Indiana State Retired Teacher's Assoc-iation and the National Education Association.

Survivors include son Daniel K. McMains and wife Kim, Greencastle; daughter Denise Sigworth and husband Jeff, Greencas-tle; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother William McCarty Ogle.

Visitation is from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle. Private graveside services will follow.
