Robert M. Means

Robert M. Means, 51, Roachdale, died Wednesday at Putnam County Hospital.

He was the son of Clarence and Eva Lee Means.

A 1974 graduate of North Putnam High School, he was a tool and die maker by trade, working as a press operator at Rexnord, Indian-apolis, and formerly worked at Oxford Automotive in Greencastle for 27 years. He worked on the Safety Patrol at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for 26 years.

He was a member of Roachdale Christian Church, where he served as deacon and Sunday School teacher. He was a member of the Roachdale Volunteer Fire Dept. and served as a Boy Scout leader and a little league coach.

He married Terresa Cornet on Oct. 15, 1977. She survivors.

Also surviving are sons Justin Means, Indianapolis, and Joshua Means, Roachdale; his mother, Crawfordsville; brothers James Means and Michael Means and wife Laurie, New London, Mo.; sisters Jackie Cravens and husband Richard, Ladoga, Kay Manning and husband Jeff, Darl-ington, and Roberta Smiley and husband Tim, Green-castle; aunts, uncles and a granddaughter.

Services will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Roachdale Christian Church, 1 N. Walnut St., Roachdale, with Revs. Jerry Harris, John Nolan and David Truncone officiating. Burial will be at the Roachdale Cemetery.

Visitation is set for 4-8 p.m. at the church.
