Virginia Alyene Allee

Virginia Alyene (Burton) Allee, 87, Danville, formerly of Roachdale, died Wednesday.

Born in Sumner, Tenn., she was the daughter of Tebe Henderson and Caldonia "Callie" (Duke) Burton.

She was a keypunch operator for Continental Optical, retiring in 1971. She previously worked at RCA.

She was a member of the Roachdale Optimist Club, the Roachdale Flower Committee, and the Roachdale Christian Church.

She married Wayne Robert Allee. He survives.

Other survivors include stepson Jerry Allee; seven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, eight step-great-grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by daughter Sue Carol Tinsley.

Services will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday at Conkle Funeral Home, Avon. Burial will be at Stilesville Cemetery.

Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
