Ruth Wiegand

Ruth Wiegand, 91, Cloverdale, died Wednes-day at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.

Born at Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Frank and Jessie Mae (Metzger) Wills.

A housewife, she had been employed at Mallory in Indianapolis, Old Trail Inn and Cloverdale IGA.

She married Robert Anthony Wiegand on Feb. 22, 1936. He died April 16, 1980.

Surviving are daughter Shirley R. Tresner and husband Robert G. Greencastle; son James M. Wiegand and wife Becky, Cloverdale; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Robert Eugene Wiegand, sisters Mary Jane Sanders and Dorothy Jefferson, and brothers Cecil Melvin Wills and Harold Wills.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Pleasant View Cemetery, Lebanon, with Pastor Alan D. Small officiating.

Visitation will be private.

Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, is handling arrangements.
