Louis A. Lamb, 85, formerly of Hillsboro, Ohio, died Tuesday while recovering from a traumatic brain injury.

Born in Centerville, Ohio, he was the son of Lemuel H. and Lena (Noggle) Lamb.

After serving in the army during World War II, he earned his engineering degree from General Motors Institute and was an executive at General Motors for 30 years, finishing his career in Northampton, England. He was active in hospice and the Catholic Church.

His first wife, Catherine Elliott Lamb, who he was married to for 30 years, preceded him in death in 1979. His second wife of 23 years, Barbara Leslie Tucker, preceded him in death in 2004.

Survivors include his brother, Bruce L. Lamb; children, Bruce E. Lamb and wife Victoria, Susan Leassner and husband Jerry, Corky Crimmins and husband Bill, and Jon Lamb and wife Melanie; and 10 grandchildren.

A brief visitation and service was conducted Friday evening at Greencastle Christian Church.
