Robert L. Hirt III

Robert L. "Bobby" Hirt III, 18, Greencastle, died Wednesday at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.

Born in Indianapolis, he was the son of Robert L. Hirt II and Jane E. (Lydick) Hirt Scobee.

He was a senior at North Putnam High School and had worked at Baker's Construction and Excavating.

Surviving are a daughter, Brylynn D. Hirt; fiance Nicole R. Harney; mother and stepfather Jane and Timothy R. Scobee; four siblings, Johsua D. Hirt, Melissa (Burton) Ash, Liz E. Scobee, and Dustin R. Scobee; grandmother Susan B. Hirt; and an aunt and uncle.

He was preceded in death by his father, paternal grandfather Robert L. Hirt, and maternal grandparents, Wendell and Viola Lydick.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Pastor Donnie Watson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday.
