John R. Hazlett

John R. Hazlett, 64, Russellville, died Tuesday at his residence.

Born at Nashville, Tenn., he was the son of Donald and Flora Lee (Ramsey) Hazlett.

A 1960 graduate of Russellville High School, and a 1968 graduate of Indiana State University, he earned a master's degree from ISU in 1972. He had taught wood and metal shop at Crawfordsville High School for many years.

He was a member of Russellville Community Church, American Legion at Veedersburg, Elks Lodge and Eagles Lodge in Crawfordsville.

He married Janice Parham on June 28, 1964 at Veedersburg. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Darren Hazlett, Russellville, and Matthew Hazlett, Chicago.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Machledt and Servies Funeral Home, Waveland, with Rev. Lester Niles officiating. Burial with military honors will be at Hebron Cemetery at Russellville.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
