Billie McClure, 91, Greencastle, died Sunday.

Born in Warren Township in Putnam County, she was the daughter of William A. and Roxie (Park) McClure.

She attended Putnam-ville School and was a 1932 graduate of Greencastle High School.

She attended Indiana University and received her bachelor's and master's degrees from Indiana State University.

She taught elementary classes at Roachdale, Putnamville, Martinsville and Greencastle, where she also was a speech therapist, retiring in 1979.

She was a member of the Putnamville United Methodist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher, and was a former member of the United Methodist Women, Retired Teachers Association and the Indiana Speech and Hearing Association.

Survivors include two nieces, one nephew, several great-nieces, one great-nephew and one great-great-nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Francis McClure, and sisters Genevieve McClure, Elizabeth McClure and Juanita Rayfield.

Services will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Rev. Jim Stagger officiating.

Burial will follow at Putnamville Cemetery.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. until time of service Saturday.
