Patron appreciation among PCPL events

This year National Library Week is celebrated from April 15-21, and Putnam County Public Library has some events planned to mark the week.

On Monday, April 16, the library will host a Patron Appreciation Day with an open house from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Patrons can enjoy refreshments and a "thank you" for using the library.

Tuesday, April 17 is Library Workers Day. The library works because they do, and patrons are encouraged to tell library staff how much they are appreciated.

Also, at 6 p.m. Tuesday, the program "Discover Your Family" will be conducted in Local History and Genealogy. For additional information about this program call 653-2755, ext. 120.

On Thursday, April 19, the business community is invited to a "Toast & Tips" breakfast, beginning at 7:30 a.m.

Those attending can learn more about what the library has to offer. Reservations should be made to the Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce at 653-4517.

Also, on Thursday, a noon Brown Bag Lunch program on "Backyard Wildlife Habitat" will be featured. Those attending should bring a sack lunch. Dessert and coffee will be provided.

National Library week is a time to come together at the library. Celebrate by enjoying what the library has to offer.
