Nathan L. Bain, 51, Cloverdale, died Tuesday at Clarian Health/ Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.

Born in Morgan County, he was the son of Nolan E. Bain and Nida (Peck) Bain Standeford.

He was a maintenance mechanic at Eli Lilly, Indianapolis and former owner/operator of Home Electric.

A 1973 graduate of Monrovia High School, he was a member of the Eminence Lions Club, the Indiana Trail Riders Association and Harley Owners Group.

He married Debra Cunningham on July 14, 1979. She survives.

Other survivors include daughter Erica Dustrina Bain Wright, Eminence; son Jesse Warren Bain and wife Tasha, Monrovia; mother Nida Standeford and husband Paul, Greenwood; sisters Nola Garrison and husband Larry, New Albany, and Nyla Parker Warns, Indianapolis; step-sisters Nancy Standeford, Houston, Texas, and Carol Collins, Greenwood; step-brother Lee Standeford and wife Mary Anne, Atlanta, Ind., and granddaughter Savannah Mykaela Wright, Eminence.

He was preceded in death by his father, brother Andy Parker, maternal grandparents Charles and Tina Peck, and paternal grandparents Jesse and Daisy Bain.

Services will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Burial will be at Mannan Cemetery, Cloverdale.

Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
