Ronald A. Johnson

Ronald A. Johnson, 67, West Palm Beach, Fla., formerly of Greencastle and Danville, died April 10 in Florida.

He was the son of Murice and Mable Johnson and married Janice (Foxx) Johnson, who survives.

A 1958 graduate of Danville High School, he worked for General Motors Allisons Division for 30 years, retiring in 1995. He also worked 11 years at Publix's Grocery Store in West Palm Beach, Fla.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served from 1962-65 and was on the board of directors of Boy Scouts of America. He was a member of First Christian Church, Greencastle and was active in Little League Baseball for 14 years.

Survivors in addition to his wife include a son, Charles Johnson and wife Dena, West Palm Beach, Fla.; a brother, Warren Johnson, Danville; a sister, Wanda Regan, Putnam County; and two granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services with military rites will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Forest Hill Cemetery with Rev. Alan Small officiating. Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
