GHS tennis drops match to Rockville

Greencastle girls' tennis took a tough loss at the hands of Rockville Tuesday, 5-0. The veteran Rox team won all but one of its matches in straight sets.

Despite the loss, Tiger Cub coach Trish Lowe remained positive about the match, knowing her team had lost to a quality opponent.

"The was our toughest opponent this year. I am very happy with our play against a senior-laden team," Lowe said.

Individually, Lowe knew her players had battled, and she singled out the efforts of a few.

"Kelsey Hennette battle a tough Rox (opponent), as did number two doubles. Number one doubles of Birt and Provine provided the longest fight, losing a three-set duel. Rockville number one doubles is now 12-1," Lowe said.

Greencastle will host Owen Valley tonight at 4:30 p.m.
