WEST TERRE HAUTE -- Jennifer Wiley took a beating, with two line drives finding her legs, but helped power the Clovers past West Vigo, 8-3, Thursday on the road.
Wiley pitched a complete game with six strikeouts but the story of the night was the Cloverdale pitcher's resilience after being hit twice.
After being struck in the left knee and the right thigh, she limited West Vigo to only three runs.
"Jennifer Wiley pitched a great game," CHS coach Greg Crum commented.
Cloverdale was led at the plate by Hannah Monnett who went 3-for-4.
Wiley and the rest of the Cloverdale squad, will be back in action today against Rockville at home at 4:30 p.m.
