Plainfield golf defeats Tiger Cubs and Clovers

The Cloverdale and Greencastle boys' golf teams fell to Plainfield in a three-way match at Windy Hill. Plainfield won with a 156 total, Greencastle was second with 168 and the Clovers were third with 182.

"Our score is a disappointment," CHS coach Doug Wokoun said. "But we have some time to try to fix things. We have hit a little slump and we just have to fight our way out."

Cloverdale saw Michael Glassburn lead the way with a 42, while Justin Hacker shot a 46. Sean Rhine and Mike Wellington shot a 47, Kevin Gregg shot a 50 and Andrew Cofer shot a 51.

For Greencastle, Wade Huber's 40 paced the Tiger Cubs while David Lilly shot a 42. Eric Davis and Jacob Collins scored 43, as Luke Crimmins shot a 44 and Nick Pritchard came in with a 46.

Cloverdale will host Monrovia Wednesday at 4 p.m. and Greencastle will travel to Martinsville to face Avon today at 4:30 p.m.
