CLOVERDALE -- Kevin Gregg's medalist round of 39 led the Cloverdale Clovers' golf squad to a win over Monrovia at home Wednesday night, 167-204.

Cloverdale moved its record to 11-5 with the win and hopes to carry to momentum into its match against White River Valley and Terre Haute South next week.

Joining Gregg with low scores were Sean Rhine, who shot a 41, and Michael Glassburn with a 42.

"Kevin had a very good round," CHS coach Doug Wokoun said. "Sean and Michael played well also."

"This was our last home match and we wanted to end the home season on a good note," Wokoun added.

Cloverdale also saw three other golfers shoot sub-50 rounds. Justin Hacker fired a 45, while Mike Wellington shot a 48 and Andrew Cofer closed out the Clover effort with a 49.

"We played much more to our capability, but there are still things that we need to continue to work on," Wokoun commented. "I was really pleased that we were able to just focus on the match and take care of the things directly in front of us."

Cloverdale will take on White River Valley and Terre Haute South Wednesday at Linton at 4:15 p.m.
