Zimmerman, Norman and Hughes place at Terre Haute South Invitational

TERRE HAUTE -- South Putnam shot a 383 last Tuesday to take fourth place in the Terre Haute South Invitational at Rea Park Golf Course. Cloverdale tied for eighth with a 465, while Greencastle was tenth with a 479.

Jasper won the event with a 337, paced by the medalist performance of Kate Brosmer with a 73.

Emily Zimmerman led the way for the Eagles, finishing third individually with an 80. Greencastle's Dana Norman tied for sixth with an 85. South's Heather Hughes tied for eighth with an 86.

S.P. falls to Chargers

DARLINGTON -- Emily Zimmerman and Heather Hughes were co-medalists with matching 40s, but it was not enough for South Putnam as they fell to North Montgomery 180-189 Thursday at Rocky Ridge Golf Course.

The Eagles will travel to Cloverdale at 4 p.m. today.
