Get your shots

Immunization clinics for infants and children through age 19 will be conducted by the Putnam County Health Department from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday evening.

Parents or guardians wanting to make an appointment should call 653-5210.

The schedule will be in effect until further notice.

Children who have not had previous immunizations at the health department must bring a shot record. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Eco program Sept. 15

The Wild Wonders/ Discovering Ecosystems program is set for Saturday, Sept. 15 at Jaycee Park for area children.

Cost is $5 per child, and times are 11-noon for preschoolers and kindergarteners, 12:30-1:30 p.m. for first- through third-graders, and 2-3 p.m. for fourth- through sixth-graders.

Children are invited to learn about the ecosystems in their own backyard by doing hands-on activities and creating a take-home craft. For more information, call 653-3395.

Tot Days next week at park

Tot Days, presented by Bright Futures, is a program coming to the Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department beginning Monday, Aug. 20.

It is a free, three-day program for children 2-4 years old along with their parent or guardian. Program dates are Aug. 20, 22 and 24, from 9-11 a.m. at the Robe-Ann Park Bandshell.

Included in the program will be crafts, book readings songs and games and special speakers.

Registration forms are available at Greencastle City Hall, Bright Futures, or the Putnam County Library.

As an added note, more adult volunteers are needed to assist with the program. For more information, contact the ParksDepartment at 653-3395.

Breakfast set Aug. 28

The Greencastle Chamber of Commerce Toast n' Tips breakfast is set for 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28 at Almost Home Restaurant.

The Teachers Credit Union is sponsor of the event and will present a program on Health Savings Accounts.

The breakfast and program are free to chamber members and their guests. Reservations are necessary by calling 653-4517 before Aug. 24.
