NP girls soccer loses to Chargers

CRAWFORDSVILLE -- The North Putnam girls' soccer team dropped its second contest in as many days to North Montgomery, 2-1 Thursday night.

"We played a good game tonight, we just couldn't produce enough offense to catch up after North Montgomery scored their second goal," head coach Scott Spencer said.

The Cougars only goal came from Cara Horn off an assist from Brooke Hadley.

"I credit North Montgomery on some really good defensive pressure. We had very little time to make clean plays on the ball.

"I felt we gave a good effort overall, which is good because we've been a 'one-half team' to this point in the season. This game did give us some positive things to build on as the season progresses," Spencer commented.

The Cougars will host Edgewood at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
