Greencastle Fire Dept.

Several fire runs were handled recently by Greencastle firefighters.

On Saturday:

* At 5:38 a.m., firefighters went to an alarm sounding at 109 W. Hanna St., (DePauw University housing). No cause was found. They returned to station at 5:45a.m.

* At 6:32 a.m., firefighters went to 2601 E. Ind. 240 for an alarm. They returned to station at 7:14 a.m.

* At 15:44 p.m., firefighters went to cover the Cloverdale fire station during a grass fire. They returned to station at 4:59 p.m.

* At 8:05 p.m., firefighters investigated an odor complaint at 1003 Castlebury Drive. They returned to station at 8:26 p.m.

* At 8:11 p.m., firefighters went to Vine and Walnut streets after a truck hit a utility pole and knocked down power lines. They returned to station at 9:20 p.m.

* At 10:41 p.m., firefighters went to Alpha Tau Omega fraternity for a pulled fire alarm. They returned to station at 11:06 p.m.

On Sunday:

Firefighters went to Autumn Glen, 98 N. 10th St., at 4:17 p.m., they were radioed to disregard the run en route and returned to station at 4:20 p.m.

* At 5:09 p.m., firefighters went to Washington and Jackson street to clean up debris from an auto accident. They returned to station at 5:21 p.m.
