Harlem Ambassadors spin evening of community fun

The internationally acclaimed Harlem Ambassadors will be coming to Greencastle for a game at the Greencastle High School McAnally Center at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13.

They offer a unique brand of Harlem-style basketball, featuring high-flying slam dunks, dazzling ball-handling tricks and hilarious comedy routines. Ladé Majic, The Queen of Show Basketball, is the creative force behind the Ambassadors' show and remains the most recognizable female person in basketball entertainment.

Ladé Majic leads a team of talented male basketball players who are drug free, college educated and positive in appearance. They're committed to giving the fans in each community quality entertainment and serving as positive role models for the area youth.

The ambassadors feature non-stop laughs and deliver a positive message for kids wherever the ambassadors play. "At our shows, we want the kids to know that they're part of our team too," Ladé Majic said. "We invite as many kids as we can come to sit on the bench, have a front row seat during the show, and get involved in all of the fun stuff we do."

The ambassadors set themselves apart from other "Harlem-style" basketball teams by working with local non-profit and service agencies and having Harlem Ambassadors shows as community fundraisers. The Ambassadors have partnered with the Greencastle Rotary Club to help raise funds for community related programs that are sponsored by the Rotarians.

Several community heroes will make up the Rotary Rockets team that will be playing against the Harlem Ambassadors: Matt Headley, Nolan Costin, Troy Greenlee, Bill Shuee, Brad Tucker, Kevin Hutchison, Jamie Dunn, Josh Richardson, Tim Manion, Jim Ensley, Chet Clodfelter, John Hecko and Mark Lewis.

Advance tickets are $6 for students and seniors; $8 for adults; family pass (family of five) $20; courtside tickets $15; children under age 4 are free.
