Bruce E. Parker

Bruce E. Parker, 59, Cloverdale, died Thursday morning at St. Francis Hospital.

Born at Greencastle, he was the son of Walter and Colleen (Bockius) Parker.

He retired in 2002 from Detroit Diesel Allison after 28 years of service. He was a retired member of the Cloverdale Township Fire Department, where he served for 31 years. He was fire chief for 5 1/2 years, and was a member of the Indiana Fire Chief's Association.

Surviving are his wife, Vicki (Alexander) Parker; son Greg Parker and wife Sue; daughter Melinda Shedron and husband Tod; mother Colleen Parker; three granddaughters and one grandson.

He was preceded in death by his father and brother Danny Parker.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Donald L. Pearson Mortuary, Cloverdale, with burial in Cloverdale Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday.
