City begins leaf removal

Tuesday, November 6, 2007
Using the city's new leaf vacuum Tuesday, Department of Public Works employee Mark Dickerson removes piles of leaves along Arlington Street in Greencastle. Assistant Street Department Supt. Brad Phillips is driving the truck. Street Commissioner Paul Wilson told the BannerGraphic that until the amount of leaf material increases significantly, workers might remove leaves ahead of schedule. However, he said they will still come back on the normal day (the same day the trash is picked up) to remove any additional leaves in the same week.
