Clover wrestlers go 3-2 at Cascade Turkey Duals

CLAYTON -- The Cloverdale wrestling team went 3-2 on Saturday at the Cascade Turkey Duals, defeating Arsenal Tech, Attica and Monrovia, while falling to Tri-West and the host Cadets.

Leading the way for the Clovers were Brittney Hughes and Ben Sanders. Hughes was 5-0 with three pins at 103 pounds. Sanders was 5-0 with two pins at 135.

Kyle Chambers, Lee Secrest, Josh Batchelor were each 4-1. All four of Secrest's wins at 160 pounds came by pin while Batchelor had one pin at 285. Chambers was 3-1 at 112 and 1-0 at 119.

Donnie Helterbrand, Zak Osburn, Zach Waycott and Todd Rightmyer each picked up three wins for the Clovers.

Cloverdale travels to Terre Haute North at 6:30 p.m. today.
