Elvina M. Ray, 91, Cloverdale, died Friday at Rosewalk Village, Lafayette.

Born in Owen County, she was the daughter of Robert Eli and Clara Alice (Cook) McCullough.

A homemaker, she was a member of Cloverdale United Methodist Church, Putnam County Hospital Guild and a charter member of Dine and Chat Club, Cloverdale.

She married Cedric A. Ray on Sept. 18, 1934. He died Aug. 29, 1988.

Surviving are two sons, Rev. Larry Ray and wife Wilma, Lafro, and Rod Ray and wife LInda, Lafayette; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Jewel Timmons and brother William J. "Josh" McCullough.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Burial will be in Cloverdale Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday.
