GASTON

James Gaston, 72, Pueblo, Colo., formerly of Greencastle, died Monday.

Born in Greencastle, he was the son of Harris and Mildred Gaston.

He graduated from Cloverdale High School in 1953 and worked for IBM and retired after 29 years of service. He also served in the U.S. Army and was an elder at Longmont Church of Christ for several years.

Survivors include his children, James Michael Gaston and wife Liz, and Kerri Sue Diller and husband Ron; seven grandchildren; two brothers Charles Gaston and wife Lois, and Melvin Gaston and wife Jo Ellen; a sister, Evelyn Lurcott and husband Ned; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda C. Gaston, parents, and sister Ethel Bernice Coe.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Southwest Church of Christ, Pueblo, Colo. Interment will follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.

Memorials may be made to Mountain States Children's Home or Casa de la Esperanza in care of the funeral home office.
