DPU battles Kenyon today

The DePauw University Tigers men will battle the Lords of Kenyon today at 3 p.m.

The Tigers are coming off a 54-53 squeaker over Rose-Hulman on Monday. The Engineers played the Tigers tough and knotted DPU at 48. A three-pointer from junior Mike Moore broke the tie and helped lift the Tigers to victory.

The Tigers bring four players to court averaging double figures and two averaging more than seven boards a contest.

Moore leads DePauw with 14 points per contest, with Stephen Schott and Brian Oiler averaging 13 each. Senior Ryan Wertz is dropping in 10 points a game while averaging 49 percent from beyond the arc.

Freshman Steve Lamasters is providing DPU with quality minutes this season. Lamasters is averaging nine points and is shooting 47 percent from three-point range for the Tigers.

Moore leads the team in assists with eight per contest.

The Lords are being led by Bryan Yelvington with 16 points a game. Dave Knapke averages 12 points a game, while Kodey Haddox is putting in 10 points a game.

Yelvington and Knapke pulled down 10 boards each per contest as the team is collecting 40 rebounds a game.

The Tigers go against the Kenyon Lords at today. The game will be carried live on 91.5 WGRE.
