Walden Inn and United Way: Have a 'groovy' New Year's Eve

The Walden Inn and Conference Center invites you to have a "groovy" New Year's Eve and to start 2008 on a charitable foot by attending a party to benefit the United Way of Putnam County.

"For the second year in a row, the Walden Inn has graciously promised $2,500 to the United Way from its New Year's Eve celebration proceeds," said Cathryn Ensley, Executive Director of the United Way of Putnam County. "We appreciate the Walden Inn's continued generosity, and hope area residents will support the event. It promises to be a great time."

Among the highlights of the evening will be a live performance Forever … The Tribute, a Beatles tribute band that has been touring the nation and taking people back to the 1960s for more than a decade. Comedian Tom Made, who is nationally recognized for getting revenge on annoying telemarketers and anything else that perturbs Americans, will also perform, and D.J. Jason Hartman's Sound Investment Productions will provide dance selections.

The "Celebration" package, selling for $195 per couple, includes dinner, entertainment, two-hour open bar, continental breakfast and a champagne toast at Midnight. The "Premier" package, for $295 per couple includes everything in the "Celebration" package plus overnight accommodations and a commemorative photo.

Eitel's flowers and Gifts will provide roses and Classic Flooring will provide a red carpet for arriving guests.

Childcare is available on a limited basis for $25.
