Greencastle freshman basketball wins Owen Valley Tournament

SPENCER -- Greencastle's freshman basketball team won the Owen Valley Freshman Tournament on Saturday.

In the first round, the Tiger Cubs rode a 16-2 third quarter run to defeat Linton 39-25. Kyle Parker led Greencastle in scoring with 11 points and Keegan Remsburg added 10.

In the championship game, Greencastle forced 27 turnovers and defeated Brown County 40-32. Greencastle led by one at the half and out-scored Brown County 12-4 in the third quarter and held on for the win.

Keegan Remsburg was the leading scorer with 13 points, with 11 coming in the second half. Joe Lenihan chipped in 11 points.

The wins raise Greencastle's record to 7-4.
