Greencastle Fire Dept.

The Greencastle Fire Department went on several runs recently.

* At 12:22 a.m., Thursday, crews were dispatched to 807 S. College St. for a accidental fire alarm. They were disregarded in rout at 12:30 a.m.

* At 10:57 a.m., Thursday, crews were dispatched to 3633 S. CR 300 West for a medical assist. Officials were disregarded at 11:05.

* At 3:37 p.m., Thursday, crews were dispatched to the Putnam County Courthouse to investigate the smell of gas. Nothing was found and the department lists its time back on station as 3:37 p.m.

* At 10:49 a.m., Friday, crews were dispatched to an auto accident at the intersection of Tenth Street and Veterans Highway. Fire officials assisted with clean up and were back in service at 11:29 a.m.

* At 12:14 p.m., Friday, fire officials were dispatched on a medical assist at 532 Indian Springs, but were back in service at 12:19 p.m.

* At 7:55 p.m., Friday, crews were dispatched to 501 N. Indiana St. for a fire alarm. Nothing was found and the crew was back in service by 8:19 p.m.

* At 8:03 a.m., Saturday, crews responded to an auto accident on U.S. 231 North near Waterworks Hill. Fire officials assisted with clean up and were back on station at 9:00 a.m.

* At 10:08 p.m., Saturday, fire crews were dispatched to lot 71 at Ottawa Park on a lift assist and were back in service at 10:27 p.m.

* At 3:35 p.m., Sunday, crews were dispatched to 309 E. Berry St. for an activated smoke alarm. The alarm was reset and crews were back in service at 3:39 p.m.

* At 2:48 a.m., Monday, crews were dispatched to 807 S. College St. for a fire alarm but were disregarded upon arrival at 2:59 a.m.

* At 5:23 p.m., Monday, crews were dispatched to 609 E. Walnut for a medical assist and were back in service at 5:39 p.m.

* At 4:41 a.m., Tuesday, crews were dispatched to 1202 Castleberry Drive to assist Putnam County Operation Life and were back in service at 5:06 a.m.

* At 9:07 a.m., Tuesday, crews were dispatched to 413 S. Locust St. on a medical assist. Officials were back in service at 9:24 a.m.

* At 9:41 a.m., Tuesday, crews were dispatched to Greencastle High School to assist police with an auto accident in the parking lot. No injuries were reported but fire officials report helping to separate the vehicles and were back in service at 10 a.m.
