Sheriff's Department

The Putnam County Sheriff's Department responded to one accident recently.

At 3:33 p.m., Thursday, Putnam County Sheriff's Reserve Deputy Joe Tesmer responded to a head on collision at 700 South near the intersection of U.S. 231.

Harmon Goldman, 27, Cloverdale, told the investigating officer that he was headed east on 700 South in a 1999 Silver Dodge Ram 1500. He reported that a blue Mazda, driven by Daniell J. Bubb, 27, Cloverdale, came around the corner into his lane. The cars collided head on and one driver reported injuries. The extent of property damage has yet to be determined.

Putnam County Jail

Several people were booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* Thomas Lee Ratliff, 19, Cloverdale, was booked in at 9:04 a.m., Thursday, on a petition to revoke probation.

* Sean Edward Harris, 36, Greencastle, was booked in at 10:40 a.m., Friday, on a petition to revoke probation.

* At 11:09 a.m., Friday, Cassandra Boyd, 22, Clay-ton, was booked in for theft.

* Henry Thomas Tillberry, 24, Indianapolis, was booked in at 11:52 a.m. Friday for failure to appear. He was released at 12:10 p.m. on his own recognizance.

Correction

In the Jan. 24 article identifying local political candidates, Republican candidate Cara L. Goodin, Greencastle, was wrongly identified as Carla. She will seek an At-Large County Council seat.
