Mildred O'Hair, 97, Greencastle, died Saturday evening at The Waters of Greencastle.

Born in Greencastle, she was the daughter of William and Pearl (Rule) Shamel.

A graduate of Bain­bridge High School, she was retired from the Bainbridge Post Office after 22 years of service. She operated the Y Palace Restaurant with her husband in the 1950s. She was a member of the Bainbridge Christian Church since 1926, Study Club, Community Service Club and Bridge Club.

She married Gilbert M. O'Hair in April 1928. He died April 21, 1994.

Surviving are two sons, Frank O'Hair and wife Angie, Greencastle, and Michael O'Hair, Russell­ville; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons Gerald and Lloyd O'Hair, daughter Marilyn McManama, and brother Frank Shamel.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Pastor Alan Small officiating. Burial will be in Brick Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday.
