Jerry L. Jeffries, 69, Rockville, died Saturday at his daughter's residence in Brownsburg.

Born at Ladoga, he was the son of Jerell and Mary (Lame) Jeffries.

A 1956 graduate of Ladoga High School, he attended Wabash College. He was carpenter and farmer, and worked for several years for Roachdale Building Supplies before becoming self-employed. He was a member of Ladoga Christian Church and the Masonic Lodge in Indianapolis. He served in the U.S. Army as a medic.

He married Wallis Carol Howard on Oct. 22, 1963. She died Dec. 21, 2000. He married Patricia Woods in September 2002. She survives.

Also surviving are sons Kit Wedemeyer and wife Martha, Roachdale, Joe Faulkinbury and wife Tammy, Lafayette; daughters Becky Wedemeyer Eggers and husband Tom, Brownsburg, Susan Jeffries, Rockville, Carol Wilson, Indianapolis; brothers Phillip Jeffries and wife Linda, Ladoga, Robert Jeffries and wife Jane, Rockville, Ralph Jeffries, Venice, Fla.; and sisters Betty Brennan and husband Red, Rockville, Barbara Davidson, New Market, and Rebecca Jeffries, San Diego, Calif..

He was preceded in death by brothers Harvey, Jim and infant Larry Joe Jeffries.

A celebration of life service is set for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Servies and Morgan Funeral Home, Ladoga. Burial with military honors will be conducted in Roachdale Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday.
