Lego maniacs wanted

Greencastle Parks and Recreation Assistant Director Amanda Thorn displays Lego sculptures to remind the public about a Lego Mania workshop on Sunday at city hall, to be followed by a sculpture contest on March 3. All in the community are invited to bring their Legos and participate in the workshop from 1-4 p.m.

The Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department would like to invite the entire community to participate in Lego Mania.

Lego Mania is a Lego building contest for all ages. Contest will include three categories; Best Built Kit (Kids and Adults), Best Original Creation (Kids), Best Original Creation (Adults). All entries must be submitted (at City Hall) by 5 p.m. on Monday March 3. Judging will take place at 7:30 p.m. on March 5 at the Greencastle City Hall.

The Parks Department will be hosting a Lego Mania Building Workshop from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10 the Greencastle City Hall.

Workshop will be done by members of the Indianapolis Lego Users Group (Indy LUG), some of the top Lego experts in central Indiana. Learn how to take a pile of Legos and turn it into a masterpiece.
