Betty Ann Perkins

Betty Ann Perkins, 71, Greencastle, died Wednes­day at Hendricks Regional Health in Danville.

Born in Clinton, she was the daughter of Roy and Florence (Noggle) Holton. She married James D. "JD" Perkins on Oct. 22, 1954, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 16, 1979.

A 1954 graduate of Roachdale High School, she worked for GTE Telephone Company, Putnam County Hospital and retired from IBM.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include two sons, Dan Perkins and wife Susan, Nicholasville, Ky., and Tim Perkins and wife Kim, Greencastle; companion Malcolm Burk, Greencastle; two sisters, Jean Ronk and husband Lester and Mary Dickerson, all of Roachdale; one brother, Bud Holton and wife Audrey, Greencastle; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant children Janice L. and Mark A. Perkins and brother Tom Holton.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Mike Dunn officiating. Burial will follow at Brick Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
