Fire chief earns Sagamore of the Wabash

Greencastle Fire Chief Bill Newgent was named a Sagamore of the Wabash in recognition of his service and dedication as president of the Indiana Fire Chief's Association Tuesday. Newgent was presented the honor by Eric Dietz, executive director of the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, during the Fire Service Leadership and Instructor Development Seminar at DePauw University's Union Building Ballroom.
