James Robert Call, 78, Greencastle, died Friday at The Waters of Greencastle,

He was the son of Rex O. and Mary (Ensor) Call.

He attended school at Clinton Center and Bainbridge High School. He resided in Greencastle until 1972. He had worked at The Daily Banner, DePauw University and managed The Fairway Restaurant for many years.

He is survived by his daughters Vicki Walterman and husband Don, Indianapolis, Debbie Covert and husband Doug, Roachdale; sisters Sharon King, Greencastle, Shirley Grove and husband Vernon, Greencastle, Jean Huffman and husband Marion, Bainbridge; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Max Call.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 5 at First Assembly of God, 605 Westlane Rd., Greencastle.
