Kristina Warren

Kristina Warren is asking for your continued support as she seeks her second term in office as Third District Commissioner.

"I am thankful for the opportunity you gave me four years ago when you elected me to be your Commissioner. One term as Commissioner is not enough to accomplish everything that needs to be done," Warren stated. "We have made improvements in both the roads and the bridges across the county. A comprehensive plan has been developed which was long overdue. By this spring, the Emergency Operations Center will be operational and it will be a huge asset to all."

The Board of Commissioners is currently researching ways to further the improvement of the roads, bridges, sewage systems and economic growth. They are also in the process of updating the county policy manual.

Warren said, "The manual is severely outdated. I spoke with a representative from IRS at great length. Cell phones, credit cards and computers are just a few of the items that need to be addressed."

"I want to continue to help Putnam County. Today's decision affects tomorrow," Warren said. "And I plan to raise my children in Putnam County. I want to make sure we continue to improve it."

Warren said she still believes the eight years she served as county auditor is both an important and unique asset she brings to the Board of Commissioners. She brings sound financial advice to the table. She understands the inner workings of the county government.

Warren noted, "When people call me in regards to budgets, assessed values homestead rebate checks, property taxes, etc. I can explain it to them as little or as in depth as they want. I understand it because of my years in the Auditor's Office." Warren feels her experience and knowledge gained from being an Auditor is more important now than it ever was with the major issue facing all of us --property taxes.

As Commissioner she has served on the Comprehensive Emergency Management Terrorism Sub-Committee, Greencastle/Putnam County Economic Development, West Central Economic Development, Operation Life, Courthouse Security, County Insurance Committee and the Redevelopment Board.

Warren is a 1989 graduate of South Putnam High School. She was born and raised in Putnam County by her parents Harold and Marlene Alexander, who reside in Marion Township. She is the sister of Harolena Wesley, Monroe Township, and Jeff Alexander, Madison Township. She resides in Washington Township with her husband Cliff and their two children, Brett and Paige.
