Town officials need to look at Kroger stoplight

Wednesday, April 2, 2008

To the editor:

It seems to me like some of our town officials need to be taking a look at the intersection where Kroger is located.

Now that there is a strip mall and a new video store there too, it is going to cause an accident. I can't believe, to my knowledge, that one hasn't happened yet.

The marking on the road, you can barely read. To turn in that place from the east side holds up traffic. And they will cut in front of people.

And let's not mention coming out of Kroger's lot or the video lot. People are confused there as well.

With as many people that are not from here driving around town, they've got to be just as confused.

So now it's up to you, city of Greencastle, street department, the city officials, that includes you the mayor.

Come up with a plan. Tax dollars well spent. While we are on the subject of the light problems, someone needs to take a look at the way the lights are working at the corner of McDonald's, Auto Zone, CVS and Blockbuster.

The main road, which is Indianapolis Road, the light is staying on like it was the side road. It's not to be that way.

Now that you have something to work on, make us, the town, happy you have taken the time to fix these things.

Come up with a plan that works for all. I got some ideas if you need some help.
