Greencastle's struggles continue with loss to Rox

The Greencastle baseball team fell to Rockville 6-3 in Windy conditions at home Tuesday night.

The Tiger Cubs have struggled to find their bats in the early part of the season, but starting pitcher Kyle Nobles found his Tuesday. Nobles went 4-for-4 at the plate, with two singles and two doubles. He also scored twice.

Trey Ford added an extra base hit with a triple in the fifth innings. He would ultimately score.

The remainder of the team still struggled at the plate, going 5-for-21 with no extra base hits.

On the mound, Nobles threw four innings giving up six runs, five hits and striking out seven.

Rockville jumped out early and put up six runs before the Tiger Cubs scored in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Greencastle will next face South Vermillion on the road at 4:30 p.m. today.
