Lema Wilson, age 86, of Greencastle, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at her daughter's home in Mechanicsburg, Pa.

Born Jan. 30, 1922 in Science Hill, Ky., she was a daughter of the late William Green Waddle and Bertha E. (Bishop) Waddle. In 1941, Lema moved from Science Hill, Ky. to Greencastle where she met and married Richard F. "Doc" Wilson on Nov. 17, 1943. Together they would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this fall.

During World War II, Lema was employed at the Zinc Mill and eventually retired after 15 years of dedicated service from the Coca-Cola Bottling Company.

She was a member of the Church of Christ, Greencastle and loved her home, collecting antiques, Goodwill and playing cards with her friends.

In addition to her husband, Lema is survived by her daughter Martha D. Sutherlen; her favorite son-in-law Donald Sutherlen, three grandchildren, Lesley Fritz, Pennsylvania, Nathan Sutherlen and his wife Rebecca of Waverly, Tenn., and Aaron Sutherlen of Worthington, Ohio; four great-grandchildren, her twin sister Lelia Gooch of Roachdale and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday, April 22 at the Chandler-Hayes Funeral Home, Greencastle. Burial will be in the Bainbridge Cemetery.

Viewing will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pinnacle Health Hospice, 3705 Elmwood Dr., Harrisburg, PA 17110.
