Birth announcements April 21, 2008

The following local births have been announced:

* Melanie Rose Davies was born Thursday, March 27 at 2:31 p.m. at St. Vincent's Women's Hospital of Indianapolis. She weighed seven pounds two ounces and was 20 1/4 inches long. Melanie is the daughter of Chris and Amy Davies of Bainbridge. She joins brother Evan and sister Marin at home.

Maternal grandparents are Ron and Marcia Akers and paternal grandmother is Pam Davies all of Rockville.

* Jonathan and Sarah Hanlon, Greencastle, announce the birth of their son, Samuel Scott Hanlon, born at 9:13 a.m. March 4 at Hendricks County Hospital. He weighed 7 lbs, 6 ounces and was 20 inches long. He was welcomed home by big sister Kendra, 3.

Maternal grandparents are William and Karen LaFoe, Greencastle. Paternal grandparents are Daniel Hanlon and Dorothy Fielding.

Great-grandparents are Selena Hanlon, Bainbridge, Delores LaFoe, Crawfords-ville, Evah Knisley, Goodman, Missouri.

* Justin Hazlett and Lacey Couch are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Addison Taylor Hazlett born March 22 at Hendricks County Hospital. She weighed 8 pounds and 9 and on-half ounces and was 18 and a half inches long.

Welcoming Addison home are sisters Abby and Hanna Hazlett. Grandparents are Mike and Missi Rumley, Greencastle and Greg Hazlett, Greencastle. Maternal grandparents are Paul and Mary Thompson, Gree-ncastle. Great Grandparent-s are Bob and Dianne Thompson, Danville and Jack and Martha Buzzard, Huntington.

* Orion Landaw would like to annouce the birth of his baby sister Jax Virgina Madagen Landaw. Who was born at home on Dec 23, 2007 at 12:05 pm. The proud parents are Phillip and Lauren Landaw.

* Barrett Michael Turner would like to announce the birth of his sister, Baylee Brooke Turner. She is the daughter of Tyler and Melissa Turner. She was born at Putnam County Hospital on Jan. 27, 2008.

Maternal grandmother is Becky Zaring, Greencastle; paternal grandparents are Michael and Dixie Turner, Greencastle; Great-grandfather is max Zaring, Fillmore and great-grandmothers are Melba Turner and Doris Keller, both of Greencastle.
