Olga E. Stwalley, 97, Putnamville, died Sunday at Mill Pond Health Campus, Greencastle.

Born in Chesterton, she was the daughter of Charles J. and Mathilda (Johnson) Pearson.

She married Reuben S. Stwalley on Aug. 18, 1932, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 5, 1952.

She was a secretary for the plant controller at IBM in Greencastle and was a member of the Putnamville United Methodist Church where she served as organist and Sunday school teacher. She was also a 50-year member of O.E.S. No. 369, Cloverdale.

Survivors include a daughter, Velda Mallard and husband Richard, Bloomington; a son, David Stwalley and wife Norma, Dillsburg, Pa.; a brother, Charles Pearson, Phoenix, Ariz.; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son "Rube" Sheron Stwalley, brothers Edwin and Elmer Pearson, a grandson and a great-grandson.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Interment will be at the Cloverdale Cemetery.

Visitation is noon until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
