Tiger Cub tennis swept by North Montgomery

The Greencastle tennis team lost to North Montgomery 5-0 on Wednesday.

"It was a tough match for us. North Montgomery was a strong opponent," GHS coach Trish Lowe said.

Most notably for the Tiger Cubs, Kelsey Hennette lost 7-5, 6-1 for her first loss of the season.

"I know Kelsey was disappointed in her loss. It was her first loss of the season, against Krish Bonebrake, whom she defeated on Saturday," Lowe said. "I felt as though she played pretty well. If those two played again tomorrow, it would probably be a different outcome."

The GHS junior varsity also fell to the Chargers, suffering an 8-1 defeat.

JV No. 1 singles player Kate Babington got the lone GHS win of the night with an 8-3 victory.

Greencastle visits Rockville at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
