North Putnam downs Bulldogs by 27 strokes

CLAYTON -- Coming off their second place finish at Conference Saturday, the North Putnam Cougars soundly defeated Monrovia 164-191.

J.J. Burns led the Cougars with a 38. Austin Malayer, Patrick Byrd, Jeremy Redman and Kyle Smith each posted a 42 for nine holes. Freshman Aaron Vondersaar rounded out the varsity scoring with a 43.

North Putnam will host Cascade at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
